Design starts with getting to know each other. I want to know what you love and don’t love about your space, what inspires you and the special memories or experiences you want your space to capture. We will walk each room and brainstorm solutions together that will improve how you live in your home. After our first meeting you will receive a fixed fee design services proposal specific to your project.
FLOOR PLAN
Our detailed dimensions are programmed into a three-dimensional drafting program to generate the “as-built” drawing of the existing space. This becomes the foundation for new design iterations.
DESIGN PRESENTATION
Utilizing our conversations about your desired style and function of each space, a design concept is created and presented. The new space comes to life with the help of photo quality renderings of the interior and exterior of your home. We will fine tune the features of each space and decide on the final design concept. At this time, we will work together to secure a contractor who will be the best fit for your home renovation and your family.
DESIGN DOCUMENTATION
I will guide you through the selection process for everything from doors, windows and millwork to lighting, finishes, plumbing fixtures, and appliances. Making all selections prior to construction ensures a cohesively designed space and helps contractors to stay on budget and on time.
CONSTRUCTION
Finally, our design concept comes to life. I make regular visits to the site during construction to ensure every detail we designed is executed accurately and beautifully by your contractor and the artisans working in your home.
