For a couple who loves to entertain and to cook, the primary goal was to create a new layout that would take advantage of the open floor plan that connected the kitchen to a breakfast nook and family room. Kristyn knew the key would be abandoning a tight cockpit-style layout that had only one point of entry and oddly angled cabinets. Reconfiguring the kitchen into an L-shape with an island allowed for better flow between spaces, distinct kitchen work zones and spacious island seating.
Honed Marble countertops are complemented by a jewel-inspired Ascher cut glass mosaic in shades of blue and green. Custom full-inset cabinets were made in Portland, OR and feature Rev-a-Shelf inserts for added kitchen organization.
